Bridgeville is a town in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. According to the 2010 census, the population is 2,048, an increase of 42.6% from the previous decade. It is part of the Seaford, Delaware Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Bridgeville was named for a bridge that was built in 1730 that was located over a tributary of the Nanticoke River.
Bridgeville is located at 38°44′33″N 75°36′6″W / 38.7425°N 75.60167°W / 38.7425; -75.60167 (38.742375, -75.601551).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,436 people, 570 households, and 381 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,768.6 people per square mile (684.5/km²). There were 636 housing units at an average density of 783.3 per square mile (303.2/km²).
