Hickman is a city in Fulton County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 2,560 at the 2000 census. Named for Captain Paschal Hickman, a Kentucky officer who was killed by Indians in the Massacre of the River Raisin during the War of 1812, it is the county seat of Fulton County.
Hickman is part of the Union City-Hickman, TN–KY Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Hickman is located at 36°34′2″N 89°11′11″W / 36.56722°N 89.18639°W / 36.56722; -89.18639 (36.567127, -89.186342).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.6 square miles (9.3 km), of which, 3.6 square miles (9.3 km) of it is land and 0.28% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,560 people, 1,015 households, and 665 families residing in the city. The population density was 718.1 people per square mile (277.6/km²).
