Hyrum is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 7,609 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah–Idaho (partial) Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Hyrum is located at 41°38′3″N 111°51′8″W / 41.63417°N 111.85222°W / 41.63417; -111.85222 (41.6341, -111.8522).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.9 square miles (10.2 km²), of which 3.9 square miles (10.1 km²) is land and 0.26% is water.
Hyrum was founded in 1860 by a group of 23 families, mainly either Danish immigrants of sons of Ezra T. Benson. Ezra T. Benson organized an LDS Ward (LDS Church) there in May 1860. The town got a post office in 1861. By 1900 the population had grown to the point that the ward was divided in three. Hyrum had 1,869 inhabitants in 1930.
Hyrum is the home of Hyrum State Park, which is popular for fishing, water skiing, and camping.
