North Arlington is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough population was 15,392. The population increased by 211 (+1.4%) from the 15,181 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 1,391 (+10.1%) from the 13,790 counted in the 1990 Census.
As the site of Holy Cross Cemetery, which has interred over 250,000 individuals since its establishment in 1915, North Arlington has over 15 times more dead people than living.
North Arlington was formed by a referendum passed on March 9, 1896, and incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 11, 1896, from area taken from Union Township.
