Ohatchee (inc. 1956) is a town in Calhoun County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 1,215. It is included in the Anniston–Oxford, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Andrew Jackson used the area around present-day Ohatchee to prepare for the Battle of Talladega. It was at this battle that Andrew Jackson found an Indian boy next to the body of his mother. Jackson adopted the child, naming him Lyncoya Jackson. Lyncoya died of tuberculosis in 1828 at the age of sixteen.
