Rosenberg is a city located in the U.S. state of Texas within Fort Bend County and is part of the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. The population was 31,676 at the 2010 census. The community holds the Rosenberg Czech Fest on the first weekend in May and the Fort Bend County fair in October.
Rosenberg is named after Henry von Rosenberg who migrated from Switzerland to the United States in 1843. He was the first president of the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad.
Rosenberg is located at 29°33′9″N 95°48′18″W / 29.5525°N 95.805°W / 29.5525; -95.805 (29.552388, -95.804899).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 21.3 square miles (55 km), of which 21.2 square miles (55 km) is land and 0.05% is water.
