David Teague (born June 4, 1983 in Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American professional basketball player. He played collegiately at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in the NCAA and in high school at Pike High School in Indianapolis.
David Teague attended Pike High School, where he played along with former Notre Dame basketball star player, Chris Thomas. David led the Red Devils in scoring, averaging 15.3 points per game.
After graduating high school, he attended Bridgeton Academy Prep in Maine for a short time before transferring to Purdue University, although he was considering Southern Illinois (who at the time was head coached by his soon to be Purdue head coach, Matt Painter, before Gene Keady recruited him). As a freshman, the 6’5″ and 196 lb. guard led the Boilermakers in three point percentage and set the school Freshmen record for three-pointers made in a season (surpassed by E’Twaun Moore, who currently has the record with 66).
