Turlock is a city in Stanislaus County, California, United States, part of the Turlock Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 Census, Turlock had a population of 68,549, up from 55,810 at the 2000 census, making it the second-largest city in Stanislaus County after Modesto.
Turlock lies in the Stanislaus County, at 37°30′21″N 120°50′56″W / 37.50583°N 120.84889°W / 37.50583; -120.84889 (37.505725, -120.849019), between Modesto, California and Merced, California, at the intersection of State Route 99 and State Route 165. Its elevation is about 31 m (101 ft) above MSL.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 16.9 square miles (44 km), all land.
